WEATHER POLICY

Playground

The Fairmount Co-op Preschool has a wonderful playground for our children to use when the weather allows. It is surrounded by a fence and kept up by parents of our students. Currently, the children are able to use a swing set, a sandbox, a miniature house, a slide and a jungle gym. This playground was lovingly dedicated to Carol Kent in 1989. The parents of our students help out with a cleanup of the playground in the fall and spring. Equipment is acquired through both purchases when monies are available, and the generous donations of parents and local businesses.

Children will not be taken outside when the temperature (wind chill and heat index factored in) drops below 25 degrees or above 90 degrees at the time of their scheduled outdoor activity period.

The Fairmount Co-op follows the Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District for weather
related school closures.

Children will not be taken outside when the temperature (wind chill and heat index factored in) drops below 25 degrees or above 90 degrees at the time of their scheduled outdoor activity period. For your child’s sake, send
appropriate outdoor clothing!

If outdoor play is not possible, we will play in the Muscle Room instead.
