Weekly Update 11/24

  • Nov 24, 2025
  • 2 min read

Hello FCP Families,

There is NO SCHOOL this week and I hope everyone has a wonderful break!

Please keep in mind the upcoming special Lunch Bunch activities 12/5 and 12/9, space is limited and these days fill up fast.

  • The first two events were a huge success and there is more to come starting in the new year!

Last year, Fairmount Presbyterian Church (FPC) started experimenting with a new kind of event called the "No Strangers Club" (NSC).

  • They were lamenting their general sense of disconnection from their neighbors, and how few truly communal spaces there are left (that is, places where everyone is welcome and the focus is on building relationships--not selling you something).

  • And so they decided to create NSC. It's not "religious" in any way (besides being in a church). It's basically an "open house" kind of thing where they provide a combination of art projects, board games, live music, quiet spaces, etc.

  • The only rule is that there are no screens allowed (people either leave them at home or check them at the door).

  • If this is something that sounds interesting to you, more details can be found HERE or reach out to Beth or myself with any questions.
